I discovered yesterday that within Visual Studio 2008 there were now duplicate menu items on the Data menu and also on the context menu when editing TSQL. It appears that the duplication of the menu items is caused by somehow having both the base release of the "datadude" components along with the more recent GDR release installed at the same time.
It seems, after a brief search of the blogosphere, that this is easily resolved by running the following command with elevated privileges on a 32-bit version of Windows after closing all instances of Visual Studio.
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\DBPro\DBProRepair.exe" RemoveDBPro2008
and on a 64-bit version of Windows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\DBPro\DBProRepair.exe" RemoveDBPro2008
Once Visual Studio is opened again the duplicate menu issue should be resolved.
